Volunteer Opportunities

We need you!

Volunteer opportunities abound!

The Adirondack Mountain Club is a volunteer organization. Without volunteers we do not exist.

  • The annual ADK Outdoor Expo is our biggest event of the year. We look for members to volunteer their time at the event in any way possible. We need people to help at the registration table, first aid table, workshops and the waterways events on the beach.
  • Another way to help is simply to show up at any of the committee meetings listed on the events and outings schedule. Rest assured you will not be turned away.
  • Got an idea or don't know where to start? Contact any member of the chapter executive committee. We'll be happy to help you get involved.
  • The Adirondack Mountain Club also needs volunteers at the state club level. Click here for main club volunteer opportunities

Welcome aboard!

GVC-ADK Project Planning Committee

Volunteers sought for project planning committee: Genesee Valley ADK is well known as an organization that gives back to the community. We have proved this many times over the years, with projects such as Outdoor Expo, numerous trail maintenance projects (both locally and in the Adirondack), stream, lake, and parks cleanups, and our Adopt-a-Highway program. At its October meeting, the chapter's executive committee authorized the formation of a project planning committee, whose function will be to put together ides for chapter projects for the coming year. If you are a chapter member, and are interested in participating in this important committee, please contact Dave Harrison at (585) 442-3223.
