 The Chapter has reserved the Loj as its private retreat from Thurs. Feb. 23rd through Sun. Feb. 26th.   This Winter Loj Trip is an annual tradition of the Chapter: for the past 30 years, members and non-members have used this winter retreat to discover the most exhilarating way to experience the High Peaks, and find the camaraderie with which to share it as a lifelong activity.

Come join your ADK friends, and make new ones - snowshoeing or skiing the High Peaks trails, skating on Heart Lake, or just reading by day - then swapping boasts of your day’s ventures each evening ‘round the fire in the Loj Great Room.

 Annie and the Hedonists will be back again this year on Saturday night for another fabulous performance. Here's what Albany's Metroland news weekly says about Annie and the Hedonists :

"Before Bob Dylan shook things up in the folk world with his celebrated originals, coffeehouse crooners sang previously owned ballads, blues, and labor songs. Led by chanteuse extraordinaire Annie Rosen, Annie and the Hedonists go back to those roots with skillfully arranged covers of timeless songs from many genres. No folk outfit around can match them."

 The Loj Trip includes: 3 nights lodging, 3 breakfasts, dinners Friday and Saturday evenings, Saturday night program, non-alcoholic beverages, and tip for the Loj staff.

We'll be asking participants to bring their favorite snack or hors d'oeuvre for the evening get-togethers. Beer and wine will be offered at a cash bar by the Loj.

Trail lunches can be purchased from the Loj if you don’t want to bring your own.

Family Rooms (12 persons in 2 6-person bunkrooms)....................... $233.00

Private rooms (double occupancy/person) - 5 rooms....................... $280.00

 RESERVATIONS - 

NOTE: Reservation is a 2-step process. To reserve your spot, you need to do both:

  1. Mail your Deposit check of $100.00 per person, payable to “Genesee Valley Chapter- ADK”, to:     

Shae Hanford,  68 Crosman Terrace,  Rochester,  NY 14620. 

Indicate on the check:  

a.) Reservation name(s) and   b.) Phone # (s) .

 AND

 2.     Click here to  to fill in and submit your Registration Form. (It can be used for one individual or a couple. There will be a car pooling option, so please indicate your ride status on the Registration Form if you need, or are willing to give someone a ride.)

 Registrants will be given bed reservation priority on a first-come first-filled basis in order of postmark date of the mailed Deposit Check (with November 22nd, 2011 as the earliest effective date), or submission date of the Registration Form, whichever date is later.

Reservations received after the trip is full will be placed on a waiting list.

Cancellation policy: full deposit refund if your space is filled by another on the waiting list.

 A Balance Statement will be e-mailed to everyone in early December, with the Balance payment due December 21, 2011.
